This is just an example of some of the work we carry out at t4 transformations
The customers brief was that they wanted an eye catching usable van that they could use everyday and be able to add their own ideas to the rear of the van as and when.
We sat down and discussed the colour of the van and what was to be colour coded as well as how they wanted the interior to look, future plans are to add a rock and roll bed, DVD multi media system and possibly some units.
This is how the van arrived on the Monday morning the usual dents and scratches on the panels, sliding door and rust and dents around the arches and filler flap.
First job is to completely strip the van including removing all glass, then every single panel is checked for scratches and dents. Once these have been found they are panel beaten and filled, rust patches are ground back to good metal and treated or replacement panels are welded in.
High build primer is added to damaged areas and flatted for a smooth finish
The soft blue paint was then applied notice how one of the panels is still white this is because a bonded window is being fitted. Interior of the van was not painted as it is being fully carpeted however the top and bottom sliding door roller guides are as these are seen
Next to be painted are the doors, bonnet, bumpers, grills and handles
Then comes the long rebuild process as you can see we have added chrome side bars, brand new 18” wheels and tyres, bonded windows to both sides and tinted all of the windows
Interior of the van was next with the van being fully insulated and carpeted in charcoal grey; each side is done from the front door post all the way to the rear in one piece of carpet without any joins. Notice how the carpet follows the lines of the panels and even the head ling and door surround is also carpeted the floor was just boarded owing to future plans
The finished van a couple of days after the customer had collected it and came back to see us with a few more ideas they want doing. Other things that were added to the van include half leather seats with swivel bases and a split charging system with 12v and 240v inverter
